Hemorrhoids, commonly known as piles, are enlarged veins in the lower rectum and anus. The vessels' walls may get inflamed as they are stretched.

The following individuals may need piles surgery if they experience the following :-

• Discomfort while passing a stool
• The anus is swollen, red, and itchy
• Blood is visible with stool or after passing stool
• Around the anus, a lump may be there, that is hard or even painful
• Pain at Anus area that stays even after passing stool

• Excessive effort or straining when using the restroom
• Constipation or persistent diarrhea
• Anal Tear /Severe pain when passing stool
• Diet low in fiber
• Lifting hefty weights regularly
